bueno! ya está, las tres nuevas dolis están en la tienda!
ya tenía ganas de presentaros a la última de las tres.
doli orejas de burro tenía que haber sido en un principio
la doli disfrazadda de búho, pero al final la careta no le quedaba nada bien.
así es la vida! y mira por donde le probé el cucurucho rojo
que andaba por ahí desde hacía unas semanas, le quedaba tan bien puesto...
parecía hecho para ella, las orejitas y el cuello del vestidito
vinieron después para acabar de rematar el uniforme de colegiala.
..
por aquí el día está un poco tontito, aunque ya empieza a asomar el sol, después de tantos días de nubes y lluvia. igual saldré a dar un paseo.

ok! it's all done! three new dolis are already uploaded on the shop!
i was diying for introduce you the little last one.
doli donkey-ears was created to be just a doli with an owl costume, but the owl mask didn't fit her at all. that's life!
so i tried a red cone on (it was around there from several weeks ago) and she looked damned cool! donkey ears and brown collar came after to finish her school uniform look.
..
after some days of clouds and rain, sun is popping out for a while. maybe i go for a walk...

os presento a mi doli gatita
con su sombrero rojo de amapola,
el volantito rojo es un regalo de natalia
directo desde andalucía

(creo esta gatita se ha escapado
de la casa de la pradera)

tengo todavía otra doli a medias,
las subiré todas a la tienda el domingo.
estos días me cuesta concentrarme en el trabajo,
me distraigo constantemente,
supongo que hasta que no acabe las nuevas muñecas
no se me pasará.
además hace un frío... el tiempo está loco!

Bedknobs and Broomsticks (La bruja novata)

la noche de san juan tuvimos que preparar un buen plan
para poder olvidarnos de los petardos que sonaban de fondo,
cenamos con la banda sonora de Mary Poppins
y después vimos "La bruja novata" (o "Boliches y Escobas"),
curiosamente los petardos parecían formar parte
de todo ese mundo y hasta llegaron a sonar bien y todo.
Me encanta la pinta con la que aparece Angela Lansbury en la película.
a pesar de quedarnos casi dormidos cuando llega toda la parte de la invasión militar fue una gran noche.
también tengo ganas de volver a ver Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!

on midsummer night's eve we had dinner
listening to Mary Poppins' soundtrack, after
we watched "Bedknobs and Broomsticks".
luckily firecrackers became part of those worlds.
i love Angela Lansbury's look at the beginning of the film.
it was a great night despite of we felt asleep when invasion get started.
i want to watch again Chitty Chitty Bang Bang too.

estoy en plena producción de las nuevas dolis,
combinando telas, eligiendo colores...
ya me moría de ganas por ponerme con ellas...
habrá una gatita, un paraguas muy amarillo,
una renacuaja disfrazada de búho y un cucurucho de fresa.
las voy haciendo todas a la vez porque son muy suyas
y a veces les da por cambiarse el vestido entre ellas, o las patitas...
nunca se sabe cómo acabará cada una!

i was diying to start making my new dolis y dolos
there'll be a kitty (yep! Missy K), a yellow umbrella,
a little one dressed as a howl and a strawberry cone.
i do sew them at the same time because
they all love to change dresses, or legs... among themselves.
who knows how they are going to look finally!

este fin de semana me lo he pasado
recortando cartulinas de colores,
modelando letras de plastelina y
poniendo nuevamente la casa patas arriba,
eso me pasa por no tener un taller de trabajo.
ahora comemos, leemos, vemos la tele...
con las letras y el diseño del blog presidiendo el salón.

Just a little break

ya estoy aquí de nuevo, con las pilas cargadas :)

Nunurs at the sea

ya ando con la cabeza en el fin de semana,
nos vamos a cadaqués!!
preparando maletas, sacando bañadores y guardando bufandas.
es genial, me encanta el verano.

estos días también estoy haciendo las cajas
y empaquetando las dos dolis que se han vendido.
una se va a Montreuil (gracias lili!!!) sus nuevas creaciones son increíbles
y otra a Minneapolis (gracias Jessica!!!)
van a ver mundo :) buen viaje!

today i got seaside into my head,
we're going to cadaqués this weekend!!
i'm preparing cases, getting swimwear out and putting scarves away.
it's great!! i'm dying for being there!

i am also making the boxes and packaging the two dolis that were sold.
one doli will fly to Montreuil (merci lili!!) her new creations are gorgeuos,
and another to Minneapolis (thanks Jessica!)
both are going to see the world :) bon voyage!!

Siempre me han inspirado las composiciones de este artista utilizando monitores de televisión. Experimentó con el impacto de la televisión y las nuevas tecnologías, la música... en la vida cotidiana de la gente convirtiéndolos en una nueva forma de expresión artística.
En estos casos se sirvió de carcasas antiguas de televisión para construir la pieza básica de la sociedad- la familia o el hombre -uniendo tradición y tecnología, pasado y futuro, sin perder de vista el sentido del humor.
Se parece un poco a este mundo loco que vivimos bloggeando sobre nuestras cosas craftis, no? ;)
Los retratos de artistas y amigos suyos son buenísimos.

Los que estáis en Nueva York podéis pasaros por James Cohan Gallery, NY Gallery. Allí exponen algunas de sus obras hasta el 6 Junio y el resto de los mortales podemos leer más sobre él y su obra en su web.

No he parado de coser en todo el fin de semana, ultimando las nuevas dolis, a ver si hoy descanso un poco... aunque es un vicio, me encantan los días de fiesta, podría estar así eternamente!

i've been always inspired by the work of this artist. He experimented on the impact of tv and technologies on daylife and created a new media culture. He used vintage television cases to build the man or the family, which are the basics of society, putting tradition and technology together or past and future, always mixed with a lot of humour. This reminds me our daylife, blogging about crafts! doesn't it? ;)
i love his artists and friends' portraits.
