y buscando en Ebay cositas relacionadas.

y en casa estos días gabi y yo estamos disfrutando del
regalito que se trajo Alícia bajo el brazo:
un bote gigante bien sonriente con pompom incluído
lleno de sus super cookies con chocolate.
son irresistibles, van a volar en dos días!!
..
dolo forzudo,
que está todavía a medias, pero aún así... aprovecha cualquier ocasión
para sacar músculo.
este fin de semana os presentaré a mis dos últimas parejitas:
doli teléfono, dolo guisante, doli paella y dolo forzudo.

filled with her yummy chocolate cookies.
they'll fly within two days!

Myrurgia 1916-1936

aquí está la primera parte de los post dedicados a Myrurgia,
me gustó tanto la exposición "Myrurgia 1916-1936. Bellesa i glamour"
que me tuve que comprar el catálogo.
fue todo un lujo poder ver los bocetos, maquetas de envases, carteles, esculturas...
la empresa de perfumes catalana fué pionera de la publicidad
y del diseño modernos durante los años veinte y treinta, y muestra la personalidad
Noucentista (en català) de su fundador, el escultor Esteve Monegal.
(hoy no me enrollo, eh? ;)

here's the first part of some post dedicated to Myrurgia,
the catalan perfume company that was pioneer in publicity
and in modern design during the twenties and thirties years.
the exhibition "Myrurgia 1916-1936. Bellesa i glamour" was so amazing that i had to buy the catalog,
there were original advertisings, flasks, pictures and other design products of Myrurgia
showing the Noucentista personality of his founder, the sculptor Esteve Monegal.

son todos diferentes
aunque he hecho dos tamaños de medallita
y dos medidas de cadena.
había hecho unos poquitos con la cadena extra larga pero ya no me quedan
si os interesase extralarga decídmelo y correré a la tienda a por más cadena :)

i've made two sizes for the pendants
(but they are one-of-a-kind)
and two differents length chains.
i made a few bunch of an extra-long chain but i sold them out last week,
if you want extra-long chain, please tell me and i'll go in a hurry to the store to snap it :)

My little black miniatures

aquí están mis nuevos collares!
llevaba mucho tiempo queriendo utilizar siluetas negras
inspiradas en los antiguos retratos,
he escogido oro antiguo y porcelana rusa
(me encanta esta combinación)
y estoy muy contenta con el experimento!
los colgantes han queado super gustosos,
tienen el efecto traslúcido, casi céreo, de la porcelana
y varias capas de un barniz super brillante
que les hacen parecer caramelitos de anís.

para el packaging he pintado a mano un fondo floreado
inspirado en estampados de los años 20s,
y lo he recortado en pequeños cartoncitos donde enrollar los collares.
he hecho una tirada de 16,
así que cada persona que se lleve a casa uno de ellos
tendrá una pieza numerada de ese primer fondo.

tengo que postear un libro que tengo sobre imagen gráfica
de la firma de perfumería Myrurgia de los años 1916-1936,
son una maravilla y me han servido mucho de referencia.

mañana por la tarde subiré los collares a la tienda.
espero que os gusten :)

here they are, my new necklaces!
i fancied making something with black silhouettes inspired on old miniature portraits from a long,
made with antique copper chain and russian porcelain
( love this combination!!)
so excited about it!

the translucent effect, almost waxy, of the porcelain
as well as several layers of a super glossy glaze make the pendants look like yummy little anise candies.

i've hand painted a colorful floral cardboard inspired on patterns & prints from the 20s for the background,
it's cut into small pieces to wrap the necklaces around it.
there's a limited edition of 16,
so each person who take one of them home will have a numered piece of the first original background

i'll show you a book about designs of Myrurgia products from1916-1336 they are so wonderful... it's been a very helpful reference.

they'll be on the shop tomorrow afternoon.

Sant Jordi in Las Ramblas

si alguna vez tenéis que que montar una paradita para vender cosas
no paséis la noche en vela preparándolo todo, hacedme caso.
eso no se debe hacer.
yo parece que todavía no lo he aprendido.
no dormí nada y me pasé todo el día zombi.
preparé algunas cositas nuevas que os iré enseñando esta semana
y subiré muy pronto a la tienda.
de momento os dejo algunas imágenes
del bonito día de Sant Jordi en las Ramblas,
todo un privilegio poder estar ahí.
Gracias a Gabri de Editorial Morsa que me invitó a compartir stand,
junto con la Editorial Belleza infinita,
Ediciones Buck, Chuso Ordi y fanzine Cala Reona
me hubiera gustado estar más sociable y animada porque la ocasión lo merecía,
la próxima vez... a dormir pronto

i still haven't learned this lesson.
i did not sleep and i spent all day worn out.
i prepared some new things that i'll be show you this same week.
for the moment i leave some pictures of
the beautiful day of Sant Jordi in Las Ramblas
being there on that date was just a privilege.
Gabriel of Editorial Morsa invited me to share that lovely place, Editorial Belleza infinita,
Ediciones Buck, Chuso Ordi and fanzine Cala Reona were selling their great stuff too.
i'd liked to be friendlier and nicer,
but being awake made feel lost in thought for the whole day.
next time ... i'll go to bed very early :)
