hi! how is your weekend going?
mine was really nice and fun at the opening of Fatbotton and visting friends at Festivalet Fair,
i'll blog about it all later :)
hope yours was good too!
  now, i wanted to show you my latest project,
a collection of embroidery kits for "absolute beginners",
or for advanced embroidery addict wishing to have some fun.
and here is the very first!

Star Lite Tote Bag
an embrodeidered tote bag with felt appliques,
a super easy and cute DIY project
i hand stamped the bag using a sweet pink serigraphic paint,
the kit includes all the materials you need:
needle and thread, felt shapes and step-by-step instructions in english and spanish.

it took me a long time to decide how to display all the instructions,
i asked for help to the girls of the embroidery class and i've finally included text and stitches tutorials on a folded printed paper and step-by-step photos on a pdf file.
so you'll be able to check it from your computer or another devices.
these pics will be an extra help, the main tutorial will be on paper.

as i'm working on a new online shop
you'll be able to order the kit on this temporary shop
where i'll upload all the new products,
the old stuff will be still available on etsy.

hola! qué tal vuestro fin de semana?
el mío muy movido con la inauguración de Fatbottom y visitando a amigos en el Festivalet.
ya os contaré, espero que el vuestro haya estado muy bien también!

os quería enseñar una cosa en la que llevo un tiempo trabajando,
son unos kits de bordado para super principiantes
o para adictos/as al bordado que quieran pasar un rato entretenidos/as.
y por fin tengo el primero.

la Bolsa Corazón Estrellado
una bolsa de algodón con aplicaciones en fieltro bordada.

un proyecto super sencillito y muy resultón,
la bolsa la estampo a mano con un sello y utilizando pintura serigráfica de un color rosa muy chulo,
el kit viene con todo lo necesario:
aguja, hilos DMC Mouliné, piezas de fieltro cortadas e instrucciones.

es una edición bilingue, con ilustraciones, gráficos de los puntos y fotos detalladas de los pasos del proyecto.
me ha costado decidirme por el formato de las instrucciones
(tuve que buscar ayuda externa y hacer un montón de preguntas a las chicas de clase!)
y la mejor solución que he encontrado es hacer una parte de ellos en papel, casi todos los textos y gráficos de los puntos vienen en una hoja desplegable, y un pdf descargable con las fotos en color de los pasos, que seran tan solo un complemento visual a los textos.

como estoy montándome una tienda online nueva,
los podéis comprar desde la tienda provisional que me he montado en el blog,
lo antiguo lo tengo todavía  en etsy.

hacía tiempo que os quería hablar de dos proyectos super chulos
que igual os solucionan algún regalo de navidad,
o para autoregalároslo y mimaros un poco  :)
supongo que ya habréis oído hablar del curso de asesoramiento para proyectos creativos
que va a impartir Cristina Camarena de Kireei.
en la web de Jackie Rueda encontraréis información sobre los contenidos
y el funcionamiento de este curso online.
una de las cosas más importantes en todos los comienzos es estar bien informados,
saber a quién escuchar o de dónde leer, escoger las mejores fuentes es siempre el  primer paso.
el principio de todo :)

me encanta poder recomendaros a Cristina,
para mí es la persona de la que mejor podéis destilar toda esa información y consejos.
por su experiencia y su trayectoria con Kireei, Pimienta Rosa
y luego con Kireei Magazine, proyectos que todavía se mantienen en primerísima línea en el panorama nacional, que ya es difícil, después de 5 años,
en estos años ha visto pasar un montón de iniciativas que le han dado una visión privilegiada de todo este mundillo. yo también disfrutaré de este super curso, no me lo voy a perder!!

 el curso empieza el 13 de enero.
no os lo perdáis!!  y nos vemos allí si os animáis a embarcaros en esta aventtura :)

and here is a beautiful and inspiring craft book by Gaia Segattini
"Handmade for dummies-Renew your wardrobe"
the book it's totally about tutorials on how to upcycle/customize old/unused or cheap/basic clothing into something cuter.  fully illustrated by step by step pics with a very little (italian) text but easily understandable if having very basic sewing skills.
projects are dedicated to ladies and little girls, but there's something unisex too.
just take a look at her website or her Vendetta Uncinetta on Vanity Fair.it where she blogs about handmade stuff, check it to get inspired by this cool lady!

y aquí llega un libro super chulo!!

proyectos craft para super principiantes.
 es de una chica italiana que conozco de hace tiempo,
Gaia Segattini lleva la sección de Vendetta Uncinetta en el blog italiano deVanity Fair.
(muy recomendable también, como su web, fliparéis con todo lo que hace)
ella es otra de esas personas que conoce muy bien este mundillo handmade.
el libro está en italiano, pero como nosotras ya somos superdotadas y nos atrevemos con los libros de patrones en japonés... pues esto es pan comido.
como viene con fotos de los pasos e instrucciones detalladas, el idioma no es un problema,
además al final resulta incluso exótico tener un libro en italiano, entre tanto libro inglés y japo ;)
bueno, igual vosotras sabéis italiano, y estoy aquí haciendo el tonto :P

hoy estoy en plan gracioso, será que es jueves y huelo ya el viernes de un fin de semana sin talleres.
con una inauguración por todo lo alto en Fatbottom,
nuestra tienda de comics y guarida.
y con el festivalet que es ya!
veré a amigos de madrid, a otros de aquí que no veo nunca porque siempre estoy trabajando...
y todo será guay :)

por cierto, mi amiga Natalia de Le Petit Pot ha tenido la super amabilidad de acoger mis calendarios en su preciosa paradita, así que si os acercáis por allí mis calendarios de los enanitos os estarán esperando para alegraros el año :)

pasar a saludarla porque ha preparado un montón de novedades para la ocasión.
y si necesitáis un mini costurero, ya sabéis que sus tarjeteros son lo mejor del mundo para llevar todo lo necesario, menos la labor, eso no creo que quepa!

Avalanche! A Christmas DIY Bowling Game

my new DIY tutorial for Handmade Charlotte is a Christmas Bowling Game, a holiday craft and activity using recycled toilet paper rolls and a white sock.

And this is my gave step-by-step instructions that I've made so far: HOWTO make a snowball from a white sock, check it out in Avalanche!

mi nuevo tutorial para Handmade Charlotte es: Avalanchaaa! un juego de bolos para hacer en casa. silencioso y un poco gore porque hay que tumbar a papá noel, renos, árboles y muñeco de nieve con un calcetín blanco. 

Dentro del tutorial encontraréis una perla!
creo que son las instrucciones que más me gustan de las que he hecho:
cómo hacer una bola de nieve con un calcetín, blanco, por supuesto :)

we always trade things, like her card holder that i use as a portable sewing case!
so tiny that i can take it everywhere, carrying thimble, scissors, needle and thread with me.
it's incredible how all fit inside!

mirad qué foto más bonita hizo Natalia de mi dolo croissant el otro día en la feria!
ha hecho un post super bonito del calendario y los enanitos :)
siempre nos intercambiamos cosillas,
como el tarjetero que me regaló, yo lo utilizo un montón de costurero,

es tan pequeño que resulta muy práctico, me lo llevo a todas partes con el dedal, tijeras, agujas e hilos, parece mentira pero cabe todo!
estos días tengo mi cabeza en modo "pensar regalos chulos", jeje! y éste podía ser uno de ellos,
con todo lo necesario para bordar dentro :)

estos días he encontrado varios sitios donde compartían y mencionaban mis tutoriales,
qué ilusión me ha hecho aparecer en el blog de una de mis publicaciones preferidas, el Costurero, y en 2funniest things, un blog que también está genial :)

my fav is The Wind in the Wilows
I didn't realize that it was embroidered first time i saw it, it was a very tiny pic,
but i fell in love inmediatly, looking for a bigger image i found an stunnish embroidery.
love the free style and how she combines colors and stitches!

you can enjoy the three covers in detail in the artist's flickr,
original sizes pics are wonderful!!!
You can see the backside of embroidery at the flyleaves!
brilliant.

habéis visto las nuevas portadas bordadas de Penguin?
son de Rachell Sumpter, me encantan.
son preciosas, sobre todo The Wind in the Willows,
 tiene un estilo muy fresco y suelto, además los colores y las combinaciones de puntadas en la vegetación son lo más.
encontré una imagen por internet muy pequeñita y me encantó,
busqué un poco para verla más grande,
cuando la ví me quedé alucinada porque que estaba bordada!
podéis verlas con detalle en el flickr de la artista.
las fotos en tamaño original son buenísimas.

además en el libro han impreso la parte de atrás del bordado en las guardas,
está genial!

qué pedazo de pareja de artistas,
qué bonita inspiración.

Fair

yesterday, Natalia from Le Petit Pot and I shared a stand at Demanoenmano fleamarket.
it was great, we enjoyed a nice (but very cold) day out.
it was cold because it took place at the old train station hall, l'Estació de França,
it's an open place and we were in the middle of one entrance.
some vendors were really close to the gates, trains were arriving and leaving!
we were happy to be displaying our stuff at such beautiful place
and it was nice to see some friends that came to visit, it was fun :)

estuvo muy bien, aunque pasamos mucho frío!!
el mercadillo se organizó en L'Estació de França, una estación de tren antigua muy bonita en el casco antiguo que está abierta a la calle, nuestra parada estába justo en medio de una de las entradas y hacía un airecito... pero bueno, lo pasamos muy bien,
 gracias a Belén, Sara, Irma, Judit (que también tenía una paradita) y Silvia por la visita, y las compras ;)
me hicieron mucha ilusión!

Christmas fair Weekend! Este sábado mercadillo :)

this is a very special weekend because tomorrow i'll been participating in a fair,
too many things to prepare and new projects to show :)
it's really exciting, i decided to do a special christmas sale in the last moment.

i think i'm going crazy!
i'll take all the Holiday stuff with me, prints: calendars, paper dolls, gift tags, accessories: fake watches, pendants, friendly ghosts...
and my first embroidery kits! a tote bag with felt apliques to embroider
and a review of my fake watch, fully customizable, with a cross stitch fabric band.

 i'll be there for supporting and help all the lovely embroiders that don't know how to start these kits. it will be a sale and supporting day :)

i'll blog about these new projects on detail next week, before uploading to the shop.
i'll also blog about this fair, i promise! here is a video of the last edition.

a very personal review of the retro barrel gym bag
that Caterina Pérez and I have thought and rethought together,
 i'm really excited about this special collaboration.
i enjoyed very much arranging sewing & embroidering classes with her,
and i had fun again doing this new project.
love Caterina and the way she cares on details,
her patience and quietness,
her manners, temper and humor,
but the thing that i like the best is that
you can always see the child she was, and she is.

so i guess and i hope that there'll be more classes, bags... or whatever
in the future.
it took me a while to find a common design and theme
in which both were comfortable,
not too much Misako Mimoko, nor Caterina.
several stamps and tests,
and finally i came across this multi stamp sheet that saved me to stamp each trunck one by one :)

he aquí "Trunk", o tronquito, como queráis llamarle,
nuestra versión de la bolsa de deporte setentera
que hemos pensado y repensado Caterina Pérez y yo.
una colaboración muy especial, con la que estoy muy ilusionada.
disfruté haciendo clases con ella en Casa sagnier,
y he disfrutado mucho diseñando este nuevo proyecto.
me gusta Caterina y me gusta mucho cómo cuida los detalles,
la paciencia y la tranquilidad con la que se mueve,
su trato con los demás,
su genio y su sentido del humor,
pero lo que más me gusta es que se vé la niña que fué, y que es.

así que supongo y espero que habrán más clases juntas y habrán más bolsa-bolsos,
o lo que se tercie :)

me llevó un tiempo en llegar a algo común,
ni demasiado misako mimoko que le hiciera sentir incómoda,
ni tan Caterina... que fuese muy ajeno a mi.

varias pruebas con sellos y técnicas...
y al final una plancha que me salvó de tener que estampar los tronquitos uno a uno.

mañana como buen madrugador que es, estará a las 9h en la tienda Les Bags,
esperando un nuevo hogar.
es una edición super limitada, así que si os gusta, corred porque creo que volarán :)
