Gutter Fest / Zines

we've been enjoying two weekends of small publishers fairs:
Gutter Fest, and later Graf.
this year i only took there my printed stuff,
some fake watches and pendants.
Gabriel released his new zine NOWT / Aktion #4
we were sharing stand with our friend Irkus,
he has a new project of Riso printing and his zine Europa.
happy to meet there other friends like Teiera, Badabum, Apa Apa Comics, Fatbottom, Chin-Chin Records, Núria, Carmen, Andrea, Natàlia and Sofia.
great time and nice people :)

hemos estado disfrutando de dos fines de semanas
rodeados de comics y fanzines,
con el Gutter Fest y el Graf.
en el Graf no puede estar mucho como sólo es un  día...
pero el Gutter, por suerte, lo llegué a disfrutar un poco más.
no llevé mucha cosa, ya estoy escarmentada,
sólo llevé las cosas impresas, algún reloj de mentira y colgantes.
este año Gabi presentaba su nuevo fanzine  NOWT / Aktion #4,
compartíamos mesa con nuestro amigo Irkus que estaba allí con Medalariso y su nuevo fanzine Europa.
fue genial encontrarme con las chicas de Teiera, con Badabum, Apa Apa Comics, Fatbottom, Chin-Chin Records, Carmen y Andrea,
y pasar la tarde con Núria, Natàlia y Sofia!

Gutter Fest 2013 / Hangar

some pics from last year at the Gutter Fest,
i hadn't show you that beautiful place called Hangar.
it is one of the last old textile factory buildings left in barcelona,
it was turned to hold workspaces for artists in the late nineties,
it was one of my favorite neighborhoods full of creaky empty factories.
this building remains now surrounded by plots and new skyscrapers.
found a surprising treasure,
a red spot of poppies amongst that ruins. 

fotos del Gutter Fest del año pasado,
no os había enseñado este sitio tan bonito, el Hangar.
es una de las antiguas fábricas textiles que quedan en barcelona,
la reconvirtieron en estudios para artistas a finales de los noventa,
era uno de mis barrios preferidos lleno de fábricas antiguas,
vacío, pero lleno de cosas que recordaban su ajetreada vida anterior.
este edificio permanece ahora sólo, rodeado de solares vallados
y torres en construcción.
me encontré un tesoro por ahí escondido,
una pincelada de rojo,
preciosas amapolas entre las ruinas.

un collar sujetagafas fluor con pompones,
para customizar nuestras gafas de sol este verano,
un pollito en su balancín y un bolsillo-cesta secreto,
estos dos los hice para pascua, ya sé que llegan un poco tarde...
:P
el pollito, se hizo famoso ;) lo sacaron en el blog de la revista
frankie magazine, con lo que me gusta esa revista!!

a perfect morning

we enjoyed a beautiful, bright and sunny morning today
during this first spring embroidery workshop.

i felt like somebody arranged a perfect set
extending a fresh and green carpet full of daisies.

we put up the rest to make it better:
embroidery, good company, yummy pastries
and fresh lemonade!

nuestro primer taller de bordado de esta primavera al aire libre

ha sido lo más precioso y soleado del mundo.

era como si nos hubieran preparado el escenario perfecto

desplegando una alfombra de margaritas,

y pintando el cielo del mejor azul,

se estaba tan bien!

nosotras pusimos el resto para mejorarlo,

con bordado, buena compañía, pasteles y limonada fresquita.

espero que también hayáis pasado un buen fin de semana :)

instagram without smartphone

what a weird day i had on Sant Jordi,
there was, my tiny stand alone on the street
the middle of nowhere.

a yellow spot.
i met new friends...
and watched people passing by :)

and yes! i'm on instagram, still with my silly phone,
just follow this tutorial if you want to join it using your computer!
how to register or signup to instagram using your pc or mac computer
i downloaded the Android APK from here
and Grambler to upload my pics from the computer!
if you need some instagram filters to edit your images just get these photoshop actions ;)

so silly! a very funny slow (and elaborated) way to do an instant photo, haha
it will be uploaded 1 hour later from the shoot ;)

qué día más friki fue el de Sant Jordi,

mi parada estaba en medio de la calle,

o en medio de la nada, todavía no lo tengo muy claro...

era un punto amarillo en el cemento,

hice nuevas amigas...

y vi pasar a mucha gente :)

y sí! ya estoy por fin en instagram, y con mi móvil tontorrón,

me he bajado un simulador de Android, un programa para subir las fotos

y un montón de filtros parecidos a los que se utilizan.

es super ridículo, igual subo las fotos una hora después de hacerlas

y super retocadas, jeje

tan tonto!

bueno, seguid este tutorial si como yo todavía no tenéis un móvil listo y espabilado.

tomorrow is the day of the book and the city will be full of books and roses,
