Buenos días! :)

he tardado en ordenar un poco las cosas, y también mi cabeza...

una de las cosas que no quería dejar de contaros

era nuestra visita a la feria craft del Renegade.

ese día quedé con Kerry, una ilustradora que tiene uno de mis blogs favoritos: Seventy Tree,

de la que alguna vez os había hablado,

y con Sofía, (Hey Sosi) otra artista gráfica que también me encanta

y con la que hace un tiempo que llevo escribiéndome,

fue una suerte poder disfrutar de su compañía ese día.

también tenía muchas de conocer en persona a Tania (Ninon) y a Jess Quinn,
(ambas participaban en la feria)
y poder ver de cerca sus trabajos.

fue un lujo, ellas son igual o más encantadoras si cabe que sus personajes.

además, Sadie la hija de Jess, era tan graciosa...

estaba ayudando super orgullosa a su madre en la paradita!

por desgracia no pudimos comprar todo lo que nos hubiera gustado,

pero alguna cosita cayó ;)
me quedé con las ganas de traerme unos de los estuches de Tania,
porque no se había llevado ninguno a la feria...

pero buneo, el broche de Jess es uno de mis tesoros
y compré también ese tote amarillo.

(ay! por cierto hay un sorteo en su blog)

si me lo permitís, como tengo muchas fotos del Renegade,
voy a hacer dos partes, porque como siempre me enrollo un montón.

mientras podéis chafardear en los post y las crónicas del renegade

de Jess, Kerry, Sofia, Tania y como no en la misma web de la feria.

espero que estéis disfrutando de un bonito domingo otoñal.

i've been very slow organizing things, and ideas...
one of the things i wanted to tell you about
was our visit to the Renegade craft fair.

we meet Kerry that day, an lovely illustrator
who has one of my favorite blogs: Seventy Tree
and sweet Sofía, (Hey Sosi) another artist that i loved too.
we felt really lucky enjoying their company that day.

i was very excited to meet Tania (Ninon) and Jess Quinn,
(both them with a stall in the show) and their creations.
it was great! they are even more charming, if it's possible
than their amazing characters.
and Jess's daughter, Sadie was so cute and sweet ...
she was helping her talented mother in the stall.

unfortunately we couldn't buy all the things we wished...
i would loved to bring home any of Tania's pouches, but she didn't have any of them at her stall.
Jess brooch is one of my treasures and i bought also a yellow tote.
(oh! don't miss november's draw on Jess blog)

as i took so many photographs of the fair,
i'll have to leave some of them for another post.

buenos días! :)

se me hace raro escribir después de tanto tiempo!

un mes entero, es la primera vez que tardo tanto en postear...

para celebrar que ya estamos de nuevo en casa
y que por fin ha llegado el otoño

os he preparado: bizcocho casero, té
y una mandarina que parece una calabaza :)

en todo este tiempo ha habido mucho trabajo,

un viaje a Lodres y mucho trabajo de nuevo.

fue un viaje largo de 10 días, en el que caminamos y caminamos,

nos volvimos locos buscando librerías de segunda mano,

nos cansamos del curry,

odiamos las sopas y cremas de bote inglesas...

pero disfrutamos de árboles gigantes,

de mucho verde, de tuberías negras y casas viejecitas,

de un poco de fresquito...

y de gente maravillosa!

it feels so strange to me to write after so long!
a month, it's the first time that i long posting ...
to celebrate that we are home again
and that fall has finally arrived
i have prepared spaecially for you: homemade cake, tea
and a tangerine that looks as a pumpkin :)

during all this time there's been much work,
a trip to London and hard work again.
it was a long journey of 10 days,
we walked and wandered,
we went crazy looking for second hand book stores,
we got tired of curry...
but we enjoyed the lovely view of giant trees,
lots of green, black pipes and old houses,
chilly weather...
and wonderful people!

conocimos a Ana Montiel y a Sebastián Litmanovich, (y a Copo)

que nos abrieron de par en par su hogar y ayudaron a que nuestro viaje

fuese mucho más entrañable.

Ana es una ilustradora que vive en Londres desde hace un tiempo,

y de cuyo trabajo soy muy fan,

además su blog siempre está lleno de cosas interesantes y preciosas.

esa postal tan bonita de la segunda y tercera foto es suya,

es uno de los recuerdos que nos trajimos...

gracias a ella nos hemos enganchado al té rooibos con coco y chocolate, jeje
y su compañero Sebastián es músico (Cineplexx),
diseñador y artista visual (Tea Time Studio)
si chafardeáis un poco en sus respectivas webs
encontraréis maravillas.

me trajo una sorpresa de manos de la mismísima Emily Martin

las tarjetitas para recetas y unas chapas con algunos de sus personajes.

Inside The Black Apple es uno de los primeros blogs que me cautivó cuando empecé a bloggear

y todavía me fascina, lo visito muy a menudo y me encanta sumergirme en ese mundo mágico en el que vive esta artista.

todavía no me he atrevido a escribir ninguna receta, siempre me pasa lo mismo...

pero ahí están alegrándome el día :)

Modern Grannies meeting and some likings

hola! espero que hayais empezado bien la semana :)
estas fotos son hace un par de domingos,
las abuelitas modernas estuvimos una tarde cosiendo y haciendo punto,
hubo pasteles, bonitos bordados, futuras bufandas...
el nivel está muy alto!!
y es muy guay comprobar que cada vez crece el número de abuelitas:
Raquel, Lola, Neus, Vera, Cris, Julia, Berta, Adriana, Núria, Astrid, Judith… y además, contamos con la visita de Francine.
en el blog de Raquel, 3 deseos y medio están todas las crónicas, con fotos preciosas
de las últimas reuniones de las abuelitas.

there was a new modern grannies' meeting and we spent the afternoon sewing and knitting,
we were surrounded by yummy cakes, beautiful embroideries, future scarves ...
it was a high-level meeting!
and I'm very happy because the number of grannies has rises each time we met,
last time it was a big gang

Nuevos Talleres en Casa Sagnier * New Workshops

hola :=)
hoy ha empezado el plazo de inscripción para apuntarse a los nuevos talleres textiles de Casa Sagnier,
(a partir del día 15 os podéis inscribir en el resto de talleres )
yo voy a impartir dos talleres:
Bordado Creativo (Brodats Creatius) - 8 hores
Lunes de 19.30 a 21.30 h.
26 de sept.- 24 de oct.

haremos un amplio estudio de los puntos básicos de bordado y sus variantes,
trabajaremos diferentes materiales y soportes
y realizaremos un bordado final con un patrón bien bonito
aplicando todos los puntos que hayamos aprendido.

las fotos de arriba son del anterior taller que hicimos,
tuve la suerte de contar con Caterina Pérez i Raichell entre las asistentes!
aquí hay algunas muestras de lo que se puede llegar a hacer en este taller,
estas fotos me las enviaron días después,
me hizo mucha ilusión ver lo bonitos que quedaron...

lot of the content on this post is going to be in spanish this time,
i'm sorry! but i'm in a rush and it's about the next two workshops i'm going to arrange at Casa Sagnier.
The first workshop will be an embroidery one and second one will be how to make kawaii and vintage dolls.
it's a little weird name for a workshop but we'll try to design, create, sew... dolls or little characters using different techniques from the traditional to the trendy ones.
i'll be posting some pics to show you how the workshop is going :)
here are some photographs taken on my last embroidery workshop, and some of the beautiful embroidering people did.
i met some friends from the blog, Caterina Pérez and Raichel.

el otro taller es
Muñecas kawaii y vintage (Nineteria Kawaii i vintage)
15 hores
Miércoles de 12.30 a 14 h.
28 de sept. al 14 de de dic.

el nombre es un poco raro pero básicamente es un taller de muñecos,
durante el curso cada alumno creará su própia muñeca o personaje,
trabajaremos diferentes técnicas y materiales repasando las técnicas tradicionales y las que están de moda actualmente.
mejor os pego el texto del programa ;)
"Durant el curs cada alumne crearà el seu propi personatge o nina, treballarem amb materials tèxtils mitjançant les diferents tècniques tradicionals i modernes, seguint de molt a prop els treballs de artistes crafters d'avui dia.
Experimentarem fent patrons de cossos, de la seva roba i accessoris per perfilar la personalitat del personatge.
S'utilitzaran diferents tècniques com ara dibuix, costura, brodat, pintura... i reciclarem roba, llençols, parts de ninos trencats o vells, o altres objectes quotidians."

en ninguno de los dos talleres se necasitan tener nociones de bordado ni de costura :)

este trimestre hay un montón de talleres nuevos con Caterina Pérez de Les Bags
(en su blog detalla los talleres que va impartir, echarles un vistazo porque están genial!)
con un nuevo fichaje, mi amiga Pepa (Maëlstrom)
(jeje, todas las profes ya somos una mafia)
que se encargará de las clases de patchwork.
no será un patchwork cualquiera, el patchwork de Pepa es lo más!!
también están las clases de amigurumi de Aviv...
hay un montón de cosas interesantes!

en la web de Casa Sagnier, todavía no han colgado los nuevos cursos,
pero si necesitáis más información podéis llamar: 93-414-01-95
