New Shop Update! Tote bags

hola de nuevo! :)
he subido a la tienda unos totes con enanitos dibujados,
la casa se había quedado un poco vacía ahora que se han ido casi todos...
así que he hecho unos totes con ellos.

he hecho poquitos, dos de cada color,
(si os gustan daos prisa, porque no sé si voy a volver a hacer,
de los enanitos tan sólo me queda uno en la tienda!)

el tote rosa lo he teñido a mano,
y queda muy chulo con motitas de pigmento por ahí esparcidas.
he pintado el dibujo directamente con pintura para telas porque todavía
no me he aventurado con las serigrafías.
todo se andará!

i've added two totes featuring one of my Pixie Elves at the shop,
the house is a seems a little empty, now that almost all my knee huggers are gone ...
so i've made some totes full of Pixies' love!

there're only two of each color.
(if you like them, then hurry up!
because i don't know if i'll make some more later,
there's just one Pixie elf left at the shop!)

i dyed the pink tote at home, while testing new colors,
and i love how it looks,
so cool! tiny pigment spots scattered all around.
and the other one, is in a beautiful natural cotton color.
the drawing is hand painted using
black waterbased fabric ink, so each one is one of a kind.

este sábado haremos otro Taller de Bordado en Duduá con lanas y telares
el que hicimos el viernes pasado estuvo muy bien,
la gente hizo cosas muy chulas!

next embroidery Workshop with wool and looms will take place this saturday at Duduá
last time we enjoyed a very nice afternoon embroidering and having tea,
people made very cool things!

y os tengo que enseñar un montón de cosas nuevas que nos han llegado ultimamente,
la más reciente, esta felicitación de Jaime Vicente y Sonia Mollón.
la han hecho con Gocco, pone feliz año nuevo en tipografía gatuna,
por si no se lee ;), la foto no es muy buena y el brillo del dorado refleja :P

hola :)
os quiero presentar a una nueva parejita que se ha venido a vivir a casa,
Nancy y Sluggo,
por una vez las cosas que más nos gustan a Gabi y a mí se han materializado,
los personajes favoritos de Gabi y mi debilidad: los muñecos vintage.
los encontró Gabi en eBay, son increíbles, dan tan buen rollo!
son nuestro ojito derecho ;)

y como se acerca el día de los enamorados ya he empezado a hacer
algunas cometas, que repartirán amor por doquier!

this lovely couple has come to live with us recently,

this time Gabriel favs and mine came out together on one thing, well on two!
Gabriel's comic strip heroes and my loved vintage dolls.
so awesome, they cheer me up!!
they are the apple of our eyes ;)

now that saint valentine's day is coming i've started making
new kites to spread some love all around!

hoy os quería avisar de que este trimestre habrá nuevos

talleres de muñecas y bordado en Casa Sagnier!

las INSCRIPCIONES empiezan este lunes 9 de enero.

El taller de muñecos lo haremos los jueves de 19:30-21h

19 de gener > 22 de març.

y el taller de bordado (completo, desde los puntos básicos
hasta los malabarismos más avanzados )

los martes por la mañana de 10-11:30h.

24 de gener > 27 de març.

de los puntos básicos de bordado y sus variantes,

trabajaremos diferentes materiales y soportes, incluidas las lanas,

y realizaremos un bordado final con un patrón bien bonito

aplicando todos los puntos que hayamos aprendido :)

they take about three months, so we can afford bigger projects
and learn all techniques deeper.

Shop Update: Knee Hugger Pixie Elves

hola! cómo está yendo este primer día del año?
el nuestro está siendo tranquilito,
poco frío y mucho sol
y la barriga bien llena :)

también un día muy entretenido escogiendo fotos...
me encanta empezar el año subiendo cosas nuevas a la tienda!
estos Pixies son unos elfos navideños "abraza rodillas" si lo traduzco literalmente
(aunque la palabra elfo no me gusta demasiado,
puedo llamarlos duendes o enanitos...)
son una versión unos típicos muñecos vintage navideños
de los setenta que me enamoraron nada más verlos,
aunque hay algunos muy feítos... pero bueno.
los Pixies vienen del polo norte, se pasan el año construyendo juguetes
y cuidando los renos de Papa Noel.
hay una historia y una costumbre
que se llama "El Elfo en la estantería"
os pego el rollo porque me hace ucha gracia :)
el elfo llega a las casas por acción de gracias y se queda hasta navidad,
se encarga de vigilar a los ñiños por si son bueno o malos,
y le lleva la carta con los juguetes a Papá Noel.
se pasen el día inmóviles sentaditos en su rincón,
y por la noche campan a sus anchas por la casa,
cada mañana aparecen en un lugar distinto,
escondidos o subidos a los lugares más extraños...
(los padres son los encargados de esconderlos
y los niños los buscan cada mañana, claro)
hay un par de links con el orígen histórico de estos personajes,
en qué consiste esta costumbre actualmente y
el lote de merchandising con peli incluída :)
no me quiero olvidar de citar la peli "Elf",
que me encanta,
aunque soy consciente de que no es como para alardear de elllo...
este post está siendo como un poco

bueno, el caso es que 7 de mis Pixies ya están en la tienda!
después de una dura navidad en el Polo Norte trabajando sin parar ,
necesitan una estantería o un cálido rinconcito que les acoja para descansar.
si alguien quiere ofrecerles cobijo... en mi tienda le están esperando :)

hello there! how is your first day going?
mine is really quiet,
sunny and incredible warmy weather,
and slowly getting a pot-belly...
that's fine!

we've been working a little :)
i do love starting the new year listing some new items on the shop!
this time the english text is very short because i tried to explain the tradition of the Pixies Elves and my love for knee huggers in spanish.
i think there's no need to do it in english,
you all know what these vintage dolls and characters are!
if not check this, this and this.
and yes, i also talked about the "Elf" movie
that i love, despite it isn't a movie to boast about... :P

so, 7 of my Pixie Elves are now avaible at my shop.
they just arrived from the North Pole after a hard Christmas working,
these little fellows are looking for a cozy corner
or a lovely shelf in a new home :)
