mi visita al festivalet fue cortita pero volvimos a casa
acompañados de un super brioche de Chez Loulou (Arska & Didixtra),
con uno de los preciosísimos broches de Ari de corazón de galleta,
(el broche con gafas por supuesto),
y con la tan esperada revista que ha creado Anabel de Fieltromanía: El Costurero,
con buenísimos tutoriales y caras muy conocidas colaborando en él.

Elisa y Alícia de Duduá cada año se superan, el festivalet esta vez tuvo más participantes,
más variedad de productos, más originalidad y más comida (!!!)
y me encantaron los pompones geométricos de decoración.
por fin conocí en persona a Merche de (Grossomodo) con su nuevo proyecto Black Oveja
y a Olivia jabones.
me encantaron los amigurumis de Oihoja,
me quedé con las ganas de probar la comida japonesa de Koji Tanaka,
conocí el trabajo de The clorofilas y The Spotless Loop,
pasé un buen rato con Silvia Bukubuku, Pepa y La Ballena Elena,
me alegró ver las novedades de Le Petit Pot, emedemarta, Elena Cruz, Las Coleccionistas, Crochettes, Sirena con jersey, I love muffins, Cécile Bonbon, Après Ski, Dumbo, Sietedelonce, Manguitos, Mia, Olula se casa...
me pregunto que nos deparará el próximo festivalet...
el listón lo han puesto muy alto! jeje

my visit to festivalet was short but it we went back home with a yummy homemade brioche from Chez Loulou (Arska & Didixtra),
with a cute brooche made by Ari of corazón de galleta,
(the one with green glasses, of course...)
and with the so wanted craft magazine El Costurero, the new Anabel's (Fieltromanía) proyect, great tutorials and lovely crafts proyects.

Elisa and Alícia (Duduá) always better themselves,
this time the new craft fair has been awesome, bigger,
with a wide range of handmade original and creative products,
and with more food stands :)
cupcakes, cookies, japanese food, mustards, crêpes, croissants...
and i loved how they decorated the place.

i finally met Merche (Black Oveja) & Olivia jabones.
i get enchanted by Oihoja's amigurumis,
i met The clorofilas' & The Spotless Loop's works in person,

i ask myself how many beautiful things we'll find at the next festivalet...

dos teteritas nuevas han llegado a casa por navidad,
la primera la trajo mi amiga Silvia desde Berlín y vino acompañada de
un montón de cosas preciosas como esta tela navideña con papa nöeles!!
si no la conocéis pasaros por su blog (Bukubuku)
y alucinar con las ilustraciones y todo su universo.

la segunda es este sello tan increíblemente bonito que ha hecho
mi amiga little t jane a mano, es la cosa más dulce del mundo.
ha hecho también el sello de misako mimoko.
me han hecho tanta ilusión...
en su tienda hay un montón de sellos y de cosas felices
es un lujo estar rodeada de gente tan increíble!!

two new teapots have arrived home for Christmas,
my friend Silvia brought the first one from Berlin and it came
with other treasuries like this Christmas fabric with Santa Claus!
can't miss her blog (Bukubuku), you'll be thrilled by the illustrations and her awesome world.

the second one is this little stamp that my dear friend little t jane handcarved with so much love and care, it's the sweetest thing in the world.
she even make another gorgeous stamp with my name.
i was so touched, she's a star!!

ha pasado tanto tiempo desde que subí las últimas muñecas
que algunas de las que tenía que subir a la tienda han partido ya.
otras se quedan por aquí haciéndonos compañía
(y también para participar en nuevos proyectos)
así que tan sólo una parejita: doli limón y dolo señor tranchette
están disponibles en la tienda.
pero como ahora tengo más tiempo las próximas semanas
habrán más novedades en la tienda!
de momento os presento también a doli arbol de invierno, aunque ya tenga dueña :)
estos días os iré enseñando las muñecas que he ido haciendo,
aunque no vayan a estar en la tienda.

el domingo estuvimos en el festivalet y pusimos cara a un montón de gente.
estuvo genial, cada vez está mejor!!
pero esos os lo contaré otro día :)

it's been so long since i uploaded the latest dolls
some of the new ones are already gone.
others will stay with us for a while
(and also for participating on new projects)
so just a lovely couple: doli lemon and dolo monsieur tranchette
are now available on the shop.
but there will more dolls soon, just keep up to date ;)

i also wanted to introduce you to doli winter tree, even she already has a very good friend waiting for her :)
these days i will be posting several dolls i've been making lately, although they are not going to be for sale, we want to play a little with them at home :)

we went to the festivalet this last weekend and we met a lot of internet friends.
it was great, more than ever!

Indie Craft book, by Jo Waterhouse

no sé cómo he tardado tanto en postearlo, y eso que me ha ilusionado muchísimo y estoy tan orgullosa de haber participado en este gran proyecto...
Indie Craft recoge diferentes maneras de trabajar con soportes y materiales textiles que se están realizando actualmente.

Jo Waterhouse ha conseguido retratar una buena parte de la escena craft independiente o alternativa del momento, recopilando en este libro un montón de trabajos tan dispares como interesantes, y eso es lo que lo hace tan especial.
la intro está hecha por Faith Levine ( autora del libro y el documental Handmade Nation)
en el libro hay trabajos en crochet, amigurumi, punto, bordado...
estoy muy emocionada.
cuando ví por primera vez en la librería mi nombre y a mis muñecas entre tantos trabajos maravillosos mi corazón latía tan rápido...
en ese momento daban ganas de enseñárselo a todo el mundo,
y decir: Mira!! soy yo! y mis muñecas!! :D

i do not know how i've taken so long to show you this great book,
beacuse it was so thrilling and i'm so proud of participating in this gorgeous project...
as on the book's profile is written: "Indie Craft brings together and showcases examples of artists who work with traditional craft techniques such as embroidery, crochet, knitting, and cross stitch, but in a new, alternative or subversive way. Indie Craft is the term often used to describe this new wave of craft."

Jo Waterhouse has managed to portray a good part of the independent craft scene of the moment, gathering in this book amazing crafted artworks in a variety of styles and techniques. that's why it's so special! everything in this book is so interesting!
Faith Levine has written the foreword (author of the book and documentary: Handmade Nation)

i was so excited first time i was at my local bookstore and i saw my name printed and my little dolls amonst so many wonderful works, my heart was beating so fast...
i'd loved telling everybody there that it was me, that my work was featured on this book!

y cómo no, también es super interesante todo lo relacionado con la autora del libro, porque Jo Waterhouse es también una gran crafter, que trabaja el punto, crochet y el bordado.
(ahí está su autorretrato bordado) es fundadora del Worcester Rebel Knitting Club (se reunen dos veces al mes en un pub, meriendan y tejen o crochetan..., está abierto a quien quiera pasar una tarde entretenida) en su facebook hay fotos de sus reuniones, patrones... de todo un poco!
organiza también la feria de Vintage y Craft de allí. (si estáis allí el fin de semana que viene podéis pasaros y contarnos cómo ha ido ;)
Ha escrito varios libros sobre arte urbano Concrete to Canvas: Skateboarders' Art vol. 1 y 2 y Art by Tattoists. Tiene un blog en Modart, otro con tutoriales UK DIY Craft...

creo que es el mejor regalo crafty para estas navidades!!!

because Jo Waterhouse besides great arts writter and author of some books, is a cool indie crafter, dabbling with knitting, crochet, embroidery...
(this is her lovely embroidered autoportrait) she's the founding member of Worcester Rebel Knitting Club (meet twice a month in a pub, for drinking tea and knitting, sewing.., is open to anyone who wants to spend an crafty afternoon)
there are some pics of the meetings, patterns... on their facebook, a little of everything!
she is one of the organizers of the Worcester's Vintage & Craft Fair. (if you are visiting the city next weekend, you can check it and tell us how it went ;)

as she explains, she only writtes on subjects that she's genuinely interested in, books that she would love to buy herseft. they are all about urban art, DIY subcultures: Concrete to Canvas: Skateboarders' Art vol. 1 and 2 and Art by Tattoists.
She writtes on Modart Magazine and on UK DIY Craft blog too.
