HAPPY FALL

hope autumn started well for you.
i've been already crocheting a pair of cosy mittens
with furry and sweet mohair and merino yarns.
wishing to find a little of time to stitch the vintage patches
i bought long ago onto any of my coats, or onto the backpack.

just picked a photo of my dear doli chestnut
to wish you a super happy fall
full of nice walks, hot chocolate drinks, teas, chestnuts
and lazy afternoons on a cosy couch.

yo ya me he empezado a hacer unos mitones de ganchillo

con unas lanas que tenía en casa super gustosas

de mohair y merino.

intentando rascar también algo de tiempo para coserme

unos parches antiguos a un abrigo o a mi mochila, ya veremos!

para desearte un feliz otoño

lleno de tranquilos paseos, chocolates calientes, tés, castañas y moniatos...

y tardes perezosas de sofá y mantita.

Making Flowers for a dry Land

i wanted to show you some pics of what
and where i have been working on lately.
been going outside with my dolls very often,
making and embroidering all my wildflowers in the park,
a small hill with amazing views,
quiet and warm,
enjoying the sunlight.
it's really hard for me working at home making dolls in winter,
there's not natural light enough to enjoy stitching.
so i decided to go out looking for some beautiful light
that warms my mind and my heart.
i love to feel fresh air, hear the sound of the wind through the leaves,
birds...

it's really nice being outside,
it seems that winter didn't come to visit barcelona this year,
no cold, no clouds...
no rain!
the city is experiences its longer dry spell in over 100 years,
it doesn't rain from the last 95 days!
we've reached the last record
1928 was the longest period without rain (85 days).
it's sad to see the land so dry,
no green and a lot of dust and pollution.

so i'm very proud and happy to make flowers,
even they are just dolls,
to color this place.
been watering and taking care of my wildflowers,
so they look pretty before i list them on the shop.

quería enseñaros algunas fotos de lo que he estado haciendo últimamente
y dónde lo he estado haciendo.
he estado saliendo bastante a la montaña que hay al lado de casa
para hacer las flores,
he estado bordándolas disfrutando del buen tiempo y de las vistas.
necesito luz natural, notar el aire, escuchar el sonido de las hojas y los árboles, los pajaritos...
se me hace imposible coser en casa durante el invierno,
hay tan poca luz natural...
y estos días se está tan bien fuera de casa!

este año parece que el invierno se ha olvidado de pasar por aquí,
el invierno y la lluvia.
es una pasada! hemos batido el récord de 1928 de 85 días sin llover,
ya vamos por el día 96.
es un poco triste ver el paisaje tan seco,
con tanto polvo y contaminación.

así que estoy muy contenta y orgullosa de estar haciendo flores,
aunque sean muñecas,
para alegrar un poco el lugar.
las he estado regando y cuidando
para que estén bien bonitas cuando las suba a la tienda.

espero que disfrutéis de un maravilloso fin de semana :)

DIY Elsa's Taggie Doll

how is your week going? :)
i'm back again with a new craft project tutorial,
 a cute taggie doll i made for Elsa,
my cousin’s daughter, for Christmas and she smiled
the minute she saw it.
i don't use to see my craft projects in babies little hands,
so we took some pics of her having fun with the doll,
so sweet!
it makes a perfect baby shower gift.
there're many little ribbons with different textures,
a contrasting fabric at the back for visual stimulation,
and two softie legs to hold and chew.

qué tal va la semanita?
vuelvo con un nuevo tutorial: un muñeco con etiquetas,
de esas que tanto les gustan a los bebés :)
le hice un muñequito de éstos a Elsa, la hija de mi primo,
por Navidad y sonrió nada más verlo!
como nunca suelo ver tutoriales en acción con niños,
me hizo mucha gracia, así que le hicimos algunas fotos,
Elsa es tan mona...

es un regalo perfecto para bebés porque
tiene un montón de etiquetas con diferentes texturas y colores,
y tela estampada por detrás para estimular la vista,
y dos patitas blanditas para que las pueda coger y morder.
el tutorial con el patrón y las instrucciones lo encontrarás

SHOP UPDATE! Hippie Yellow Lions

hola :)
acabo de subir dos muñecos nuevos a la tienda,
lo del pelo de lana y las trenzas me está dando mucho juego!
es tan setentas y tan gracioso...
estos dos son mis leones hippies amarillos,
un chico y una chica.
estoy terminando algunas cosas que empecé hace ya tiempo para vender en la tienda,
esta semana seguiré subiendo y posteando las novedades!

estoy muy contenta,
hoy ha salido una entrevista mía en el blog italiano Vendetta Uncinetta de Gaia Segattini,
(Gaia tiene también una tienda en Etsy, de cosas muy chulas hechas a mano: Gaia SeiGattini)
echar un vistazo al blog, está muy bien!
así veréis lo animado que está el panorama craft en italia ;)

i just updated the shop,
i've really happy making new stuff using this kind of wool yarn hair and braids,
it's so 70s and fun!
these two little fellows are my Hippie Yellow Lions,
a boy and a girl.
i'm finishing alot of new things for the shop,
i'll be blogging about them during the week!

(who also runs an Etsy shop full of beautiful handmade stuff: Gaia SeiGattini)
has posted today a interview about Misako Mimoko.
this is a very interesting blog about crafts,
great to know what italian crafters are making lately!
