Welcome to the Cerdanyola's Autumn Fair

pintadas a mano super bonitas y estaban cerquita nuestro.

Las Costureras ((emedemarta, Le Petit Pot, Maelström and me)
spent a whole weekend standing cold weather,
rushes of wind and a little of light rain,
day and night.
a too long and odd weekend.
we prepared all the stuff for the stand the previous week, it was a very exciting and hard working time, and we kept on getting the little stand ready for the whole two days.
on saturday we start thinking we were invisible... it was my first fair and for Le Petit Pot and Maelström too, so a strange experience...
luckily we were well-equipped bunch and we carried with us a huge vacuum flask full of hot water, so we enjoy hot tea and yummy cakes from the other stalls.
there was just a little cool stand not very far from us, La magdalena de Proust who handpainted lovely t-shirts and baby bibs designs.

we felt really happy at the end of the day when we took apart all the stuff and we went to celebrate this strange experience at the main marquee. another surrealist moment to add at the list of the day!

..

i just don't know what i want to be when i grow up,
but i know that i don't want to be a stallholder,
not this kind of stallholder.... i love the renegade craft fair,
those arts&crafts flea markets at london or paris...
and Festivalet: Barcelona's very first cool handmade fair.
we've been waiting for something like this for so long...
so many great artists!! i won't miss it!!

i love online shops, staying at home with a hot cup of tea
or a chocolate, waking up in the morning with
a new sale on the mail, it doesn't happens very often,
but when it happens it's the best!!
.
*Thanks Marcela G for this lovely post!! i appreciate it :)
.
have a nice weekend!

Bunny !!! How come ? How could you feel invisible ?
With :
- the prettiest, most original and positively exciting items ever ...
- such a wonderful wonderful stall ! (everything, perfect ! I also have little cases and cake plates for my own stall ! Ha !)
- the cutest sellers ever : I mean ... hte pointy hat ? The crown ?

... Come on !!!
I would have jumped on your stall, guys, on the first sight !
I am so sad that I missed it ...

And yes, thank goodness for thermos bottles and hot tea ! They are life-savers in this kind of case. And for these heart-warming orders when you just wake up in the morning :)

Oh ! And thanks so much for linking to my wee Parisian Market ! It's not Renegade but ... We'll try our best :)

I know what you mean about feeling invisible at festivals sometimes. Your work is so magnificient though, maybe it wasn't the right crowd/weather/timing. Don't give up on the shows, once you find one or two that are profitable, you'll feel like it's worth it.

Online is definitely more cozy though! :-)

love your blog-

steph, thanks :). yeah, i know you're right, (and little t jane, you too .) crowd is always different! but once you've met a place like this and people with the same likings as yours, is really extrange going out from there, back to reality, cold people, cold weather... you feel once again being at the wrong place and time.

On saturday, maybe you thought you were invisible, but I can assure you, you're not on the web. All you make is GREAT!
Have a nice sunday!

oh, Eva, you deserve each and every one of this compliments! I am quite experienced with selling at outdoors markets, I know it's a hard life, and can be very frustrating when for some reasons it's not "going"...but I can tell you that some of the best friends I have now in this foreing city I met them at the sunday markets!

Besos
Marga
