la gente se extraña, o no se cree que yo pueda ser
tan feliz trabajando en casa.
pero es que con unos pocos metros de balcón me basta.
una silla para preparar y presupuestar proyectos
una mesa plegable para comer al sol...
flores, sol y pájaros, la primavera nos acosa!!!

hace unas semanas gabi me pasó este video y me gustó
tanto que pensé en postearlo, pero se me olvidó.
ayer tuve una reunión de trabajo y me lo enseñaron
como referencia gráfica del proyecto.
esta vez ya no se me olvida!
me encantan sus voces, la música,
sus vestiditos... cómo bailan....
me pone de tan buen humor!

some weeks ago gabriel show me this video

to show me a graphic line they wanted.

El packaging

tenía ganas de acabar todo lo relacionado con el packaging,
y tenía ganas de enseñároslo.
he esperado a que olivelse recibiera su doli Bunny,
para no estropearle la sorpresa.
..
ella ha sido la primera en comprar una de mis dolis y dolos,
su blog me encanta, siempre se descubren cosas bonitas
sé que doli Bunny se encontrará muy a gusto
rodeada de tanta alegría.

my friend silvia fell in love with her at once
and she's also had to wait a long time for her.

al principio pensé en utilizar bolsas de tela pero luego
el hecho de que las dolis y dolos no se aguanten de pie,
me hicieron decidirme por utilizar cajas de plástico.
así están facilmente expuestas y
me ha permitido añadir elementos como
el díptico interior y la faja amarilla de la tapa
que recrean un escenario imaginario,
y el cordoncito de rayitas azules como de pastelería
(llevaba mucho tiempo buscando sin éxito un cordón así,
y emedemarta lo encontró, y me lo regaló!)
..
aquí podéis ver interior del díptico y la contra.
ha sido bastante trabajo,
pero todo es poco para mis dolis y dolos!!
espero que paséis un feliz jueves!
i thought of using cloth bags at first but then
the fact that dolis y dolos can't stand by themselves
made me decide to use plastic boxes.
they're well exposed and
it has allowed me to add elements such as
the leaflet and the yellow strip
that recreate an imaginary scene,
and the blue and white bakery twine
(it took me a long time looking for a twine,
emedemarta found it and gave it to me!)
..

it has been lot of work,
nothing is too much for my little dolis y dolos!

mide unos 22,5cm de alto por 17cm de ancho,
es bastante cabezón.

para estas sesiones de fotos me he tenido que inventar
unos soportes un pelín rudimentarios,
porque no pueden mantenerse en pie por sí solos.
he is approx 8.8" tall and 6.6" wide,
he is quite big headed.
i've created some little rudimentary stands
for these photo settings.

contando las orejitas.
he mezclado diferentes telas y
la parte de detrás de la cabeza es de peluche marrón,
me recuerda esa parte interior de la cáscara de la castañas
que es tan peludita.

she is approx 9.4" tall and 5.5" wide,

including her little ears.

i've coordinated different fabrics and

the back of her head is made of brown plush,

so smoth and furry as the inside of the chestnuts peel.

Au revoir!

estos días estoy de despedida,
es la primera de mis dolis que parte a Francia.
doli bunny.
pronto doli tomato y doli little library mouse,
al igual que otros de sus compañeros
estarán en la tienda que voy a a abrir en etsy.
ese día haremos una inauguración por todo lo alto!
queremos música, globos, pasteles...
hasta entonces voy a estar preparando todo

she is the first leaving home, she travels to France.

their friends will be soon in my new etsy shop.

 we'll party all day long for the shop openning!

we want music, balloons, cakes... i'll be working 

on preparations for the event until then.

Purpurina y caballitos

creo que soy víctima de un complot,
se han empeñado en que sea feliz.
donde yo vivo los autobuses están decorados
con purpurina, de esa que hace arcoiris.
han plantado unos caballitos en medio de la calle
y los almendros han estallado en flor.
i think I am the victim of a conspiracy
somebody is trying to make me happy ...
where i live the buses are decorated
with glitter, the one that lights as a rainbow.
there's a merry-go-round in the street
and almonds break out in flowers.

a mí nunca me ha gustado la poesía,
pero he de reconocer que la de Jesús Lizano
despierta mi vena rebelde y me encanta oirle gritar
con su pinta de ogro bueno:
"CABALLITOS.
Que instalen caballitos en todas las calles,
que llenen de caballitos las ciudades..." y recitando

"Mamíferos", "La conquista de la inocencia"
"A la Mierda", "Las personas curvas"

si quieren que sea feliz, lo están consiguiendo :)

esa misma tarde sobre las 19:30h cuando iba por la calle
y miré al cielo ví que la luna era una sonrisa.
TODO a mi alrededor era HAPPY
y no es broma, era una cosa rarísima!!
no sé si la vísteis vosotras también.

Bonito día

parece que la primavera va a llegar pronto.
desde hace un par de semanas escucho cantar a los mirlos,
cada día de 7 de la mañana a 7:30 sin parar,
se deben de encontrar muy a gusto en lo alto del árbol.
aunque yo a esas horas sólo tengo fuerzas para apagar el despertador...
consiguen hacerme olvidar que vivo en una ciudad.
es todo un lujo escucharlos!

Fact & Fancy, NYC

desde hace mucho quería hacer este post sobre
la tienda más bonita de todo Nueva York,
fact and fancy en Brooklyn.
la llevaba Danielle, una de las chicas que conocí en etsy
y digo la llevaba, porque acabo de enterarme de que han cerrado.
:(
yo que os iba a decir que no debíais perderos su visita...
las fotos hablan por sí solas.
fuimos el último día de nuestro viaje
pero salimos sin comprar nada... los motivos:
1-fueron los nervios, iba a enseñarle mis dolis,
a hacer fotos y estaba histérica.
2-tanta cosa preciosa me colapsó,
no hubiese podido decidirme qué comprar,
lo quería todo!!!
3-no nos quedaba nada de dinero.
creo que en esos momento el paraíso me cegó.
parece que a mucha gente le debió pasar lo mismo
porque no pueden seguir manteniendo la tienda-galería,
en su último post anuncia que tienen algo nuevo entre manos.
espero que les vaya muy bien y les deseo lo mejor.
seguro que será algo especial.
i wanted to post from a long ago about
the most beautiful shop in New York.
Danielle, one of the girls i met on etsy ran this gallery-shop
in Brooklyn called fact and fancy.
i say 'ran' because i've just find out that they're closed.
:(
i wanted to say that this shop was a must in NY
(you realise when you see these images)
we visit the shop on our last day in NY,
but we left without buying anything... the reasons were:
1-i showed my dolis to danielle and i was so nervous...
2-everything was so cute and beautiful that i was totally blocked,
i never could decide what to buy,
i wanted EVERY SINGLE THING!!!
3-we hadn't any money.
just at those moments i think that paradise blinded me.
maybe lot of people felt as we did
cause they aren't running the shop never again,
on their last post they say that they have a little
something up their knit sleeves.
i wish them the best on their new adventure.
surely it will be something especial!!

Muffins de avena y plátano

de momento son las únicas que me salen bien,
gracias a la fórmula mágica:
1 taza = 16 cuchadas soperas
(para las que al igual que yo
utilizaban una la taza ideal imaginaria
aquí están todas las conversiones raras
de onzas, pintas, galones, cuartos...)
..
estas muffins además de ser muy jugosas
son 100% de avena, nada de trigo, ni mantequillas...
un pequeño truquillo que explican,
(igual vosotras ya lo sabíais pero bueno,
a mí me fue muy bien saberlo!)
para conseguir harina de avena en un plis
se pasan los copos de avena por el minipimer y listos!

no sé porqué, pero este año estoy imaginándome

y me lo estoy pasando bomba!
empezaría por tener una conversación telefónica
utilizando uno de esos teléfonos rosas
que tenían todas las chicas en las pelis yanquis
en la mesita de noche (yo lo quiero ya!)
I do not know why, but this year I'm triying
to think of how would be my special Valentine

no se ha podido resistir ni el más
entendido en la materia!
es como saborear un trocito de cielo.
..
la mostaza a la miel la ballena elena
ha sido todo un descubrimiento
y un placer descubrirla a ella!
ahora me falta probar su mostaza a la naranja.
(cuentan que la receta secreta está en la manera
que tiene de bailar mientras las elabora).
me encanta ese vichy, el diseño de la etiqueta
y esa ballenita azul tan feliz.
parece que la colaboración

funciona a la perfección.
