New WORKSHOPS! nuevos talleres!

ya han empezado a preparar los talleres de septiembre en Duduá,

para los más pequeños a cargo de Cristina Moreno, Núria Brunet y Jordi Ferreiro

y cómo no, para niños/as grandes como nosotras de ganchillo, amigurumi y tricot!

esta vez me tiro al vacío y organizo dos nuevos talleres!

el de bordado de fantasía y el de relojes de pared,

el taller de calcetines no es nuevo, ya lo organizamos con motivo de Il·lustation

y salieron personajes tan divertidos que repetiremos!

(mirad los muñecos que ha estado haciendo Lola desde que vino al taller,

ya es toda una experta!)

esta semana os iré enseñando las cositas que estoy preparando para el primer taller del próximo sábado día 4,

incluirá un kit de costura con plantillas de dolis y dolos, hilos, tela bastidor...

me apetece mucho hacer ese taller,

probaremos técnicas nuevas y añadiremos diferentes materiales

para experimentar un poco con todo.

que tiemble el bordado tradicional!!! jejeje

pasaros por el blog de DMC hay tutoriales e ideas muy chulas

para ir haciendo boca antes del taller!

y estas ilustraciones tan increíbles son de Roland Escher de 1958,

pertenecen al libro "Mecki im Schlaraffenland" (aquí encontraréis el libro entero)

por lo visto Mecki el erizo fue una de las creaciones de Hermanos Grimm

y parece que se hizo muy popular,

he encontrado un montón de libros con sus aventuras.

we're preparing new workshops at Duduá,

i'm holding three workshops this september!

some new ones: fancy embroidery and customized clocks,

and an old one: stuffies made with socks, we already organized one for Il·lustation show, it was so funny that we'll repeat it!

(check Lola's amazing stuffies, she took part on the last workshop and she can't stop making them!!)

i'll be posting some of the things that i'm embroidering along the week,

the first workshop will take place next Saturday 4th.

there'll be a kit including sewing supplies, fabrics, some of my dolis y dolos templates, cute thread, cloth rack... given to each person joining the workshop.

i'm so thrilled! we'll improve techniques playing with different materials.

we'll kill traditional embroidery! hehe

My beautiful beaded dolls & the first peach

hace un tiempo compré una muñequita-colgante que me encantaba,

pero la perdí, así que hice un nuevo encargo a Jami de la tienda Variation en Etsy

y aproveché para comprar algunos muñequitos más para regalar.

cuando los recibí no me lo podía creer, eran a cual más bonito,

ahora me los quedaría todos...

están hechos con cuentas antiguas y los colores son tan bonitos.

los que me quedo seguro son la muñequita más grande con el gorrito de crochet

y el pequeñito con gorrito-cono. son preciosos.

y esta mañana gabi ha recogido el primer melocotón!!

yupiiii :D

os lo enseñé cubierto de flores rosas y parece mentira que ya tengamos melocotoncitos.

so I ordered some more for giftgiving

it was a bad idea because I don't know which one keep for myself

love all of them!! so cute and adorable,

love the colors and those vintage beads

these days I'm wearing the largest bead doll with a crochetted cap

and the little one with hat-cone. these are my favs!

and this morning Gabriel picked up the first little peach!

la semana pasada llegó a casa uno de los Radetskies de Ninon,

qué alegría!! soy muy fan de su trabajo desde hace mucho

hace los muñecos más setentas-entrañables-graciosos del mundo

tienen un punto Jim Henson que me encanta.

Ninon va a abrir muy pronto una tienda online con todas las cerámicas alemanas de los años cincuenta que va encontrando en los mercadillos berlineses, tiene auténticos tesoros!

No os podéis perder su tienda en Etsy, su blog y su Flickr con sus increíbles Monstris.

fotos de un patio precioso que encontré en Mongat cerquita de la playa,

yo quiero uno de esos patios con plantas llenas de campanillas amarillas gigantes,

de momento me conformo con la versión mini, mi balcón.

donde estos días estoy volviendo a coser un poquito.

one of Ninon's Radetskies arrived home last week,
with some cute badges and a super greeting card
what joy! i'm a big fan of her work from a long time
she makes the more seventies-endearing-funny creatures in the world
got something that reminds me to my loved Jim Henson.
Ninon will open very soon another online shop with german ceramics from the fifties hunted at flea markets in Berlin, she finds treasures!

i want one like this, plants that hold giant yellow bellflowers,
umbrellas and patched floors brimming with grass!
so far I'm just satisfied with this mini version that i have on my own for the moment, my tiny balcony.

y éstas son fotos de unos pasillos del metro de Londres,
de la parada Notting Hill Gate que quedaron cerrados
y en desuso a finales de los 50s,
todavía están colgados los carteles y anuncios de la época,

no os parece increíble?
qué suerte tenían entonces, esos posters son a cuál más bonito...
hay algunos que fueron creados por Daphne.

no he encontrado casi información sobre ella en internet:
Artista inglesa hija de otro ilustrador Percy Padden de los años 20 a 40s,
también especializado en posters.
aquí hay una pequeña bio que utilizó en algunas exposiciones.

these last photos (© London Underground) are part of a set on flickr, they’re in a disused passageway on London's Undreground, at Notting Hill Gate Station that date from late 50s and they still remains the same since they were closed (via Quad Royal)
aren't they amazing? such lovely arts covering the walls of the tube station!
some of them were created by Dahpne Padden.
i found just a little info about her,
she was the daughter of another english poster artits of the 20s-40s,
here is a bio that she wrote for her exhibitions.
