DIY Elsa's Taggie Doll

hello there!
how is your week going? :)
i'm back again with a new craft project tutorial,
 a cute taggie doll i made for Elsa,
my cousin’s daughter, for Christmas and she smiled
the minute she saw it.
i don't use to see my craft projects in babies little hands,
so we took some pics of her having fun with the doll,
so sweet!
it makes a perfect baby shower gift.
there're many little ribbons with different textures,
a contrasting fabric at the back for visual stimulation,
and two softie legs to hold and chew.

qué tal va la semanita?
vuelvo con un nuevo tutorial: un muñeco con etiquetas,
de esas que tanto les gustan a los bebés :)
le hice un muñequito de éstos a Elsa, la hija de mi primo,
por Navidad y sonrió nada más verlo!
como nunca suelo ver tutoriales en acción con niños,
me hizo mucha gracia, así que le hicimos algunas fotos,
Elsa es tan mona...

es un regalo perfecto para bebés porque
tiene un montón de etiquetas con diferentes texturas y colores,
y tela estampada por detrás para estimular la vista,
y dos patitas blanditas para que las pueda coger y morder.

dos de los bichitos llegaron sanos y salvos a sus nuevos hogares,

sólo queda uno en la tienda!!

los colgadores mpera y manzanita han salido en un post especial sobre muñecos que hizo  Deborah Beau ytambién en Frankie Magazine!!

Shop Update / Three little Bugs

these three little bugs are already on the shop!
i handcrafted all the details very, very carefully :)
face and body are hand embroidered,
eyes are painted wooden pieces glued to the fabric,
the back of the wings are made from golden Lycra and feelers are embroidered using golden thread.

i love these bugs because they also can be a mobile
and become a lovely decor for walls and ceilings!
there's a red cotton ring at the back of its head to hang the doll on a wall... or you can also tie some baker's twine to hang the doll to the ceiling and let it fly!

they wear a cute and cosy embroidered crochet hat with that i made to beat chilly weather.
 i used vintage fabric, yarn and felt as usually.

estos tres bichitos voladores ya están subidos a la tienda!

lo he estado haciendo cuidando muchísimo hasta el último detalle :)

la carita y el cuerpo están bordados a mano,

los ojos son están pintados sobre madera y pegados a la tela,

la parte de atrás de las alas es de lycra dorada y las antenas están bordadas utilizando hilo dorado.

me encantan estos bichos porque también pueden ser unos móviles,

se pueden colgar en la pared o también pueden colgar del techo 

atándoles un cordoncillo a la arandela de algodón rojo que les he bordado en la parte de atrás de las cabezas!

además van super bien abrigados 

con los gorritos de ganchillo que les he hecho.

como siempre he utilizado piezas de telas antiguas, lanas, y fieltro.

Dolls making

 

sé que tocaba post con las fotos del último taller de bordado que hicimos en el parque...
pero esta semana he acabado tres muñecos que me encargó un amigo a principios de verano
y me apetecía compartir estas fotos del proceso.
hace un montón que mis muñecas no asoman la cabeza por el blog
y me gusta tenerlas por aquí!
este fin de semana prometo post de aquella gran tarde en el parque :)
que disfrutéis mucho de la vuelta al cole, jeje

i know i still have to blog about the last embroidery workshop,
but this week i finished three dolls i've made for a friend and i fancied share some pics of the making process with you.
long since last time my dolls showed out on the blog, i missed them...
