hola a todas!! siento muchísimo no pasarme a saludaros,
estoy trabajando como una loca para poder irme unos días fuera.
necesito sol, cielo, verde, agua, mar...

os presento a uno de los nuevos! dolo árbol,

este domingo subiré todas las dolis y dolos nuevas a la tienda,

Siempre me han inspirado las composiciones de este artista utilizando monitores de televisión. Experimentó con el impacto de la televisión y las nuevas tecnologías, la música... en la vida cotidiana de la gente convirtiéndolos en una nueva forma de expresión artística.
En estos casos se sirvió de carcasas antiguas de televisión para construir la pieza básica de la sociedad- la familia o el hombre -uniendo tradición y tecnología, pasado y futuro, sin perder de vista el sentido del humor.
Se parece un poco a este mundo loco que vivimos bloggeando sobre nuestras cosas craftis, no? ;)
Los retratos de artistas y amigos suyos son buenísimos.

Los que estáis en Nueva York podéis pasaros por James Cohan Gallery, NY Gallery. Allí exponen algunas de sus obras hasta el 6 Junio y el resto de los mortales podemos leer más sobre él y su obra en su web.

No he parado de coser en todo el fin de semana, ultimando las nuevas dolis, a ver si hoy descanso un poco... aunque es un vicio, me encantan los días de fiesta, podría estar así eternamente!

i've been always inspired by the work of this artist. He experimented on the impact of tv and technologies on daylife and created a new media culture. He used vintage television cases to build the man or the family, which are the basics of society, putting tradition and technology together or past and future, always mixed with a lot of humour. This reminds me our daylife, blogging about crafts! doesn't it? ;)
i love his artists and friends' portraits.
you can go until the 6th of June to James Cohan Gallery, if you're in NY, and have a look at the exhibition, the rest can enjoy his work and read about his life on his website.

i've been sewing for all the weekend, i'm finishing new dolls. i'm thinking about having a break today... but i can'tget over it, i love crafting on weekends! i could live weekends for the whole life.

cosas nuevas de fuera, como el cordel de pastelería que me trajo emedemarta de NYC, metros y metros de cordón de nata y fresa. con ésto tengo para empaquetar miles de dolis! :)
un nido de mirlos que ha aparecido frente a nuestro balcón :D,
y las buenas noticias de los posts y palabras bonitas
que rondan por ahí sobre mis dolis.
una vez más os tengo que agradecer a todas el interés que mostráis por mi trabajo. me siento muy afortunada y feliz por haber empezado este blog, mis muñecas, la tienda... gracias a las vendedoras de Etsy que sin conocerme de nada me avisan y me felicitan cuando aparezco en la portada, cuando me postea alguien conocido...
es bonito formar parte de todo esto!

esta otra doli fue un experimento que se quedó a medias. a mi madre le encantó, aunque yo le insistí en que iba a ser algo diferente porque no me convencía. ella decía que le recordaba a mí, cosa que yo no entiendo... pero bueno, el caso es que se la regalé el día de la madre :). si queréis ver más fotos aquí
this other doli was an experiment that i left half finished because i didn't like how it was developping. despite of this my mother fell in love with her, i don't know why... she says that this doli looks like me (?) the fact is that she turned into my mother's day gift :). more photos here

hola! cómo ha ido el fin de semana? yo me escapé un ratito a los encantes
y compré un montón de telas, tengo unas ganas de utilizarlas... os paso unas fotos de un libro de decoración que saqué de la biblioteca, "en casa" de la editorial BLUME. tiene algunas ideas muy buenas!
me encanta el reposapiés de petit point, el colgador hecho con pinzas,
el panel iluminado del abecedario...

al final del libro hay una montón de links para curiosear

llevo unas semanas preparando el patrón
para bordar una de mis dolis,
la idea me vino por el patrón de orange you lucky!
que me pasó La Ballena Elena.
voy a ir posteando una serie de patrones para
que os decoréis trapos de cocina, posavasos,
toallas, camisetas... y podáis tener todas
una pequeña doli que os alegre el día :)

it's taken several weeks to prepare a pattern
to embroider one of my dolis,
this idea came to me when La Ballena Elena
gave me an orange you lucky!'s pattern.
i'll be posting several patterns for
decorating dishcloths, coasters,
towels, shirts... so you all will have a little
doli ready to cheer you up :)

inicialmente eran posavasos pero al final ha quedado
como un agarrador de cocina.
he puesto una puntilla alrededor, un poco de tela gruesa por dentro,
topitos rojos por detrás y una cinta para colgarlo.
espero que acabéis de pasar un feliz día!

it was going to be initially a coaster but it's turned into a hot pad.
i sewed a sprig around it, a little thick fabric on the inside,
a red polkadot fabric for the back and a ribbon for hanging on.
