Slow making

feeling like a snail,
so slow
at making,
on getting back in the routine.

can't remember what i was into
 / what i was doing /
 before i left.

en hacer las cosas,

en volver a la rutina.

no recuerdo en qué andaba
antes de irme.

days have turned a bit chilly lately,
nice afternoons at home
surrounded by blossoms
and beautiful vintage florals,
funny pet patches...
mostly working on dolls (forever unfinished)
and diys.
enjoying home.

parece que ha vuelto el frío,
la lluvia...
y con todo ello vuelven las tardes en casa,
trabajando en muñecas (que nunca acabo) y tutoriales,
rodeada de flores de todo tipo,
 las estampadas y las reales,
y también de parches bordados de animalitos retro.
se está bien en casita.

Making Flowers for a dry Land

i wanted to show you some pics of what
and where i have been working on lately.
been going outside with my dolls very often,
making and embroidering all my wildflowers in the park,
a small hill with amazing views,
quiet and warm,
enjoying the sunlight.
it's really hard for me working at home making dolls in winter,
there's not natural light enough to enjoy stitching.
so i decided to go out looking for some beautiful light
that warms my mind and my heart.
i love to feel fresh air, hear the sound of the wind through the leaves,
birds...

it's really nice being outside,
it seems that winter didn't come to visit barcelona this year,
no cold, no clouds...
no rain!
the city is experiences its longer dry spell in over 100 years,
it doesn't rain from the last 95 days!
we've reached the last record
1928 was the longest period without rain (85 days).
it's sad to see the land so dry,
no green and a lot of dust and pollution.

so i'm very proud and happy to make flowers,
even they are just dolls,
to color this place.
been watering and taking care of my wildflowers,
so they look pretty before i list them on the shop.

quería enseñaros algunas fotos de lo que he estado haciendo últimamente
y dónde lo he estado haciendo.
he estado saliendo bastante a la montaña que hay al lado de casa
para hacer las flores,
he estado bordándolas disfrutando del buen tiempo y de las vistas.
necesito luz natural, notar el aire, escuchar el sonido de las hojas y los árboles, los pajaritos...
se me hace imposible coser en casa durante el invierno,
hay tan poca luz natural...
y estos días se está tan bien fuera de casa!

este año parece que el invierno se ha olvidado de pasar por aquí,
el invierno y la lluvia.
es una pasada! hemos batido el récord de 1928 de 85 días sin llover,
ya vamos por el día 96.
es un poco triste ver el paisaje tan seco,
con tanto polvo y contaminación.

así que estoy muy contenta y orgullosa de estar haciendo flores,
aunque sean muñecas,
para alegrar un poco el lugar.
las he estado regando y cuidando
para que estén bien bonitas cuando las suba a la tienda.

espero que disfrutéis de un maravilloso fin de semana :)

and one of my first things to do these days:
bring more green home.
because our flat is too humid in winter,
maybe some indoor plants (tropical and air plants)
 are a good solution to reduce humidity
and also for air cleaning.
and i love them so much!

y una de las cosas que me he propuesto hacer estos días es llenar de plantas la casa,
tenemos un montón de humedad en invierno y
espero que las plantas (tropicales y plantas de aire)
ayuden un poquito a secar el ambiente y a limpiar el aire.
y si no... da igual, porque son tan bonitas!
en mi pinterest de decoración y jardinería he estado guardando algunas fotos
y tutoriales para inspirarme un poco. a ver qué me sale!
