Workshops

Teapot and Poodle Needle Cases - New on SHOP!

so it's written on the back of the new sewing kits
that i listed at the shop!
cute travel needle books with sewn felt and stamped gingham pages,
in two different designs: poodle and teapot,
to start my needlecraft shop section.
thought it would be nice having needles and pins
tidy and happily save :)
i included some embroidery and sewing needles,
the ones i mostly use.

es el texto que se lee en la parte de atrás de los guarda agujas
que he subido a la tienda.
bueno, queda mejor en inglés ;)

son unos pequeños libritos con las páginas de fieltro
y de cuadritos vichy estampados,

perfectos para tener alfileres y agujas a mano y bien ordenados.

hay dos diseños diferentes: la teterita y el caniche,
con ellos estreno mi nueva sección de bordado y costura de la tienda!

he incluido varios tipos de de agujas de bordado y de costura,
son los que más utilizo.
espero que os gusten :)

es este bolsito / lindo gatito de terciopelo azul.
En su página encontraréis las instrucciones y el patrón,
podéis escalarlo para tener diferentes medidas.
Es súper fácil de hacer y no se necesita ningún cierre raro, sólo una goma elástica.

Dolls & Comics

i'm working on two dolls for the first comic book of my loved partner gabriel corbera,
"Days longer than long Pork Sausages"
(a great event for us!! it will be published by Space Face Books)

funny to watch all the transformations and tests these soft bodies are suffering,
these two fellows are living now another parallel live! haha
yesterday, i spend a rainy afternoon at home,
finishing one head, hair making and embroidering muscles, face...
 while watching "Blue Hawaii"(as a child, i was a super fan of Elvis) on tv.

estoy trabajando en dos muñecos para el cómic de mi querido gabi,
"Days longer than long pork sausages"
(un gran acontecimiento para nosotros,
 estará publicado por Space Face Books)
es muy curioso ver las transformaciones y las pruebas
que están experimentando estos cuerpos tan blanditos,
 están viviendo una nueva vida paralela! jeje

ayer me pasé una tarde lluviosa en casita acabando una de las cabezas, haciéndole su peinado y bordándole músculos, cara... mientras veía la peli "Blue Hawaii"en la tele,
de pequeña era super fan de Elvis!

Gutter Fest / Zines

we've been enjoying two weekends of small publishers fairs:
Gutter Fest, and later Graf.
this year i only took there my printed stuff,
some fake watches and pendants.
Gabriel released his new zine NOWT / Aktion #4
we were sharing stand with our friend Irkus,
he has a new project of Riso printing and his zine Europa.
happy to meet there other friends like Teiera, Badabum, Apa Apa Comics, Fatbottom, Chin-Chin Records, Núria, Carmen, Andrea, Natàlia and Sofia.
great time and nice people :)

hemos estado disfrutando de dos fines de semanas
rodeados de comics y fanzines,
con el Gutter Fest y el Graf.
en el Graf no puede estar mucho como sólo es un  día...
pero el Gutter, por suerte, lo llegué a disfrutar un poco más.
no llevé mucha cosa, ya estoy escarmentada,
sólo llevé las cosas impresas, algún reloj de mentira y colgantes.
este año Gabi presentaba su nuevo fanzine  NOWT / Aktion #4,
compartíamos mesa con nuestro amigo Irkus que estaba allí con Medalariso y su nuevo fanzine Europa.
fue genial encontrarme con las chicas de Teiera, con Badabum, Apa Apa Comics, Fatbottom, Chin-Chin Records, Carmen y Andrea,
y pasar la tarde con Núria, Natàlia y Sofia!

Gutter Fest 2013 / Hangar

some pics from last year at the Gutter Fest,
i hadn't show you that beautiful place called Hangar.
it is one of the last old textile factory buildings left in barcelona,
it was turned to hold workspaces for artists in the late nineties,
it was one of my favorite neighborhoods full of creaky empty factories.
this building remains now surrounded by plots and new skyscrapers.
found a surprising treasure,
a red spot of poppies amongst that ruins. 

fotos del Gutter Fest del año pasado,
no os había enseñado este sitio tan bonito, el Hangar.
es una de las antiguas fábricas textiles que quedan en barcelona,
la reconvirtieron en estudios para artistas a finales de los noventa,
era uno de mis barrios preferidos lleno de fábricas antiguas,
vacío, pero lleno de cosas que recordaban su ajetreada vida anterior.
este edificio permanece ahora sólo, rodeado de solares vallados
y torres en construcción.
me encontré un tesoro por ahí escondido,
una pincelada de rojo,
preciosas amapolas entre las ruinas.
