Five minutes DIY: Perlé Earrings!

having a hectic week
doing spring cleaning
rearranging home and studio
praying to go back to work soon!
having time to just make something fast and chic,
and have some fun.
so here they are,
my new pompom and tassel earrings!
got this wonderful kit from DMC that came with hooks and instructions
for making different earrings.

llevo una semanita muy loca haciendo limpieza
reorganizando la casa y el estudio
compramos por fin unas librerías,
sofá... se nos murió la nevera...
caos total!
deseando volver a la rutina de siempre y al trabajo!
sólo he tenido tiempo de hacer cosillas rápidas y resultonas
para divertirme y descansar un poco.
y así han salido estos pendientes de borlas y pompones!
me llegó este kit de DMC con los ganchos y las instrucciones
para hacer varios modelos de pendientes.

i chose a cool red perlé skein and pink pompoms.
perlé number 5 or 3 are perfect for making tassels,
very light, bright and soft!
love perle cotton,
i keep a bag full of threads that got left from my embroideries
this craft is the solution for using leftovers!!
tassels are really easy to make.

he utilizado un perlé rojo del número 3 y unos pompones rosas.
el num. 5 o el 3 son perfectos para hacer las borlas,
no pesan brillantes y súper suaves!
me encanta el perlé,
tengo un montón que me ha ido sobrando de mis bordados
y estas borlas son la solución para utilizar todos esos restos de hilos!

las borlas se hacen en un plis.

using sewing thread

se cosen los pompones a las borlas
con hilo finito de coser.

then stitched pompoms to the earring hook.
cut off the excess of perle thread...
and that's it!!

y luego se cose el otro extremo de los pompones
a los ganchos de los pendientes.
cortas el exceso de hilo para igualar las borlas...
y ya está!

so easy, so cute!

i've been already crocheting a pair of cosy mittens
with furry and sweet mohair and merino yarns.
wishing to find a little of time to stitch the vintage patches
i bought long ago onto any of my coats, or onto the backpack.

just picked a photo of my dear doli chestnut
to wish you a super happy fall
full of nice walks, hot chocolate drinks, teas, chestnuts
and lazy afternoons on a cosy couch.

intentando rascar también algo de tiempo para coserme

lleno de tranquilos paseos, chocolates calientes, tés, castañas y moniatos...

i finally learned some basic knots to start experimenting!

ya tengo colgado en casa el macetero de macramé que hice
en el taller de Duduá de la reunión de bloggers del domingo.
por fin he podido ponerme a prender algunos nudos básicos,
la verdad es que es muy fácil,

me ha encantado!

DIY Elsa's Taggie Doll

how is your week going? :)
i'm back again with a new craft project tutorial,
 a cute taggie doll i made for Elsa,
my cousin’s daughter, for Christmas and she smiled
the minute she saw it.
i don't use to see my craft projects in babies little hands,
so we took some pics of her having fun with the doll,
so sweet!
it makes a perfect baby shower gift.
there're many little ribbons with different textures,
a contrasting fabric at the back for visual stimulation,
and two softie legs to hold and chew.

qué tal va la semanita?
vuelvo con un nuevo tutorial: un muñeco con etiquetas,
de esas que tanto les gustan a los bebés :)
le hice un muñequito de éstos a Elsa, la hija de mi primo,
por Navidad y sonrió nada más verlo!
como nunca suelo ver tutoriales en acción con niños,
me hizo mucha gracia, así que le hicimos algunas fotos,
Elsa es tan mona...

es un regalo perfecto para bebés porque
tiene un montón de etiquetas con diferentes texturas y colores,
y tela estampada por detrás para estimular la vista,
y dos patitas blanditas para que las pueda coger y morder.

hi there!! been a little busy lately,
off the blog and other things that i love.

hola!! llevo una temporadita bastante loca.

estos últimos días con todo lo del iva y
cerrando algunas cosillas que arrastraba desde hace un tiempo.
así que he tenido otra vez el blog y algunas otras cosas que me encantan
un poco abandonadillas...
pero bueno, espero tener un poco más de traquilidad
para contaros algunas cosas que me tienen pillada,
compartir algunas recetas buenas que estoy horneando,
descubrimientos que me inspiran...
