Into the green

estos días está haciendo tanto calor...

y nosotros aquí, en la ciudad.
he encontrado estas fotografías que hice de la Fageda d'en Jordà
un mes de agosto de hace algunos años
y me he zambullido en ese verde.
me quedaré un ratito, se está bien ahí.

entre verde y verde descanso
en mi balcón que lo tengo más cerquita

such a hot weather here in the city...
i came accross these images i took on august some years ago,
at the Fageda d'en Jordà,
i've been diving into the green.
i'm going to remain there for a while,
so fresh and quiet.
...
and my balcony, where i love to have a rest and craft.
it's not the same... but it's ok for me!

Milktoof

mirad qué he encontrado! es genial!
si alguna vez os habéis preguntado dónde
iban a parar nuestros primeros dientes,
( los que se llevaba el Ratoncito Pérez
de debajo de nuestras almohadas!! )
seguro que a un sitio parecido a milktoof

un blog donde Inhae relata las aventuras
de dos dientes de leche, via Frankie
..
a pesar de que ando todo el día quejándome de los petarnos,
no había caído en felicitaros la verbena.
nosotros no haremos nada especial.
cenar en el balcón en nuestra nueva mesa de cámping,
tendré que salir a comprar un buen vino y algo más ;)

we're going to have supper at the balcony onto our new camping table.

Just a little break

ya estoy aquí de nuevo, con las pilas cargadas :)
este pequeño descanso ha sido corto pero intenso!

buena compañía y cena en el cap de creus
nuestra primera noche.

este calor empieza a ser insoportable.

Edificios de merengue y cielo azul

a veces la ciudad nos regala edificios de merengue
con azul de fondo, de líneas tan limpias y perfectas
que te quedas embobado mirando hacia arriba
y girando sobre tí mismo.

éste lo sorprendí en Vía Augusta
tocando casi con Diagonal.

espero que hoy tengáis la suerte de encontrar
uno de esos momentos perfectos.

Fact & Fancy, NYC

desde hace mucho quería hacer este post sobre
la tienda más bonita de todo Nueva York,
fact and fancy en Brooklyn.
la llevaba Danielle, una de las chicas que conocí en etsy
y digo la llevaba, porque acabo de enterarme de que han cerrado.
:(
yo que os iba a decir que no debíais perderos su visita...
las fotos hablan por sí solas.
fuimos el último día de nuestro viaje
pero salimos sin comprar nada... los motivos:
1-fueron los nervios, iba a enseñarle mis dolis,
a hacer fotos y estaba histérica.
2-tanta cosa preciosa me colapsó,
no hubiese podido decidirme qué comprar,
lo quería todo!!!
3-no nos quedaba nada de dinero.
creo que en esos momento el paraíso me cegó.
parece que a mucha gente le debió pasar lo mismo
porque no pueden seguir manteniendo la tienda-galería,
en su último post anuncia que tienen algo nuevo entre manos.
espero que les vaya muy bien y les deseo lo mejor.
seguro que será algo especial.
i wanted to post from a long ago about
the most beautiful shop in New York.
Danielle, one of the girls i met on etsy ran this gallery-shop
in Brooklyn called fact and fancy.
i say 'ran' because i've just find out that they're closed.
:(
i wanted to say that this shop was a must in NY
(you realise when you see these images)
we visit the shop on our last day in NY,
but we left without buying anything... the reasons were:
1-i showed my dolis to danielle and i was so nervous...
2-everything was so cute and beautiful that i was totally blocked,
i never could decide what to buy,
i wanted EVERY SINGLE THING!!!
3-we hadn't any money.
just at those moments i think that paradise blinded me.
maybe lot of people felt as we did
cause they aren't running the shop never again,
on their last post they say that they have a little
something up their knit sleeves.
i wish them the best on their new adventure.
surely it will be something especial!!

el paisaje de casas de piedra encaladas
estos días sabía a nata y chocolate,
a veces a nata con un toque de menta.
madera, piedra, musgo, algodón...
espolvoreado con azúcar glasé.

Curioseando en Etsy

todavía no os había hablado de uno de los días
más emocionantes de mi viaje a Nueva York,
buscando en internet tiendas craftis
encontré la dirección de lo que parecía ser
la tienda de Etsy en Brooklyn.
cuando llegamos allí no tenía pinta de ser ninguna tienda.
pero la puerta estaba abierta y no pude aguantar la tentación
de asomar la cabeza y cotillear.
cuando se dieron cuenta de que estábamos allí,
(al parecer les hicimos gracia:
unos colgados de barcelona más perdidos que el jueves)
nos enseñaron parte de las oficinas
y los talleres donde hacen los cursos.
la verdad es que fue divertido,
y aproveché, a pesar de mi enorme ataque de vergüenza,
para hacer de reportera dicharachera.
i haven't spoken yet about the most exciting day in New York,
i was looking for crafty shops and i found the address
of what appeared to be the Etsy shop in Brooklyn.
but when we arrived there it didn't look as a shop.
the door was open and i couldn't hold back
to stuck my head in and snoop around.
when they saw us (maybe they thought it was funny:
a very lost weird catalan couple )
they show us the offices and the workshops.
we had a nice time, and i took advantage of it,
despite my huge shame attack, and i took some photos.

por Bre (un tipo bastante divertido!)
por lo visto teníamos que pringar de alguna manera...

salimos con uno de estos totes de regalo!

(como en las excursiones del cole)
they gave us one of these totes as a gift,
(this remainded me that old schooldays guided tours)

nuestra maestra de ceremonias fue Danielle,
(tiene una tienda-galería preciosa en Brooklyn,
pero eso lo dejaré para otro post)

nos mostró los talleres donde imparten los cursos.
..
es gracioso encontrarse con el lugar físico
donde se cuece todo, no?
desde entonces veo Etsy mucho más casero,
creo que me gusta aún más.
