la semana pasada llegó a casa uno de los Radetskies de Ninon,

qué alegría!! soy muy fan de su trabajo desde hace mucho

hace los muñecos más setentas-entrañables-graciosos del mundo

tienen un punto Jim Henson que me encanta.

Ninon va a abrir muy pronto una tienda online con todas las cerámicas alemanas de los años cincuenta que va encontrando en los mercadillos berlineses, tiene auténticos tesoros!

No os podéis perder su tienda en Etsy, su blog y su Flickr con sus increíbles Monstris.

fotos de un patio precioso que encontré en Mongat cerquita de la playa,

yo quiero uno de esos patios con plantas llenas de campanillas amarillas gigantes,

una sombrilla y suelos parcheados que rebosan hierba!!

de momento me conformo con la versión mini, mi balcón.

donde estos días estoy volviendo a coser un poquito.

el correo me trajo también un precioso alfiler vintage (gracias Angela!!)

tiene una tienda en Etsy con cosas japonesas super curiosas.

espero que este agosto esté siendo llevadero,

esto de no salir de vacaciones no es bueno :)

todavía estoy celebrando que mis relojes de mentira estén teniendo tanto éxito!

one of Ninon's Radetskies arrived home last week,
with some cute badges and a super greeting card
what joy! i'm a big fan of her work from a long time
she makes the more seventies-endearing-funny creatures in the world
got something that reminds me to my loved Jim Henson.
Ninon will open very soon another online shop with german ceramics from the fifties hunted at flea markets in Berlin, she finds treasures!

some pics of a beautiful yard that I found near the beach
i want one like this, plants that hold giant yellow bellflowers,
umbrellas and patched floors brimming with grass!
so far I'm just satisfied with this mini version that i have on my own for the moment, my tiny balcony.
where these days i'm getting back on sewing again (ᴖ‿ᴖ)

the postman brought also a beautiful vintage pin (thanks Angela!)

The Friendly Ghost necklaces and brooches

lo prometido es deuda!

éstas son algunas de las fotos que estuve haciendo ayer,

"The Friendly Ghost" (el nombre viene por "Casper, the friendly ghost")

son unos fantasmitas que últimamente me tiene encandilada.

mi intención era hacer unos muñecos más sencillos que las dolis y dolos,

para poder hacer accesorios y cosas más baratitas,

y al final simplificando, simplificando... se han quedado

reducidos a unas redonditas de tela rellenas,

con los ojos y nariz pintadas,

a veces con orejitas o con bigotes enormes,

no les he hecho ni bocas! me ha parecido que no las necesitaban...

los creé para que fuesen caramelos o galletitas,

pero Gabi no paraba de decir que eran fantasmitas

y me acabó gustando mucho más, la verdad es que resulta mucho más gracioso.

de momento he hecho poquitos,

5 collares y 10 broches,

espero tenerlos en la tienda este próximo domingo!

si la cosa va bien y os gustan cada mes iré

haciendo unos pocos más.

espero que os endulcen un pococ el día :)

I promised it!
these are some of the photographsi took yesterday,
“The friendly Ghost” (this name comes from “Casper, the friendly ghost")
i have a thing for these little ghosts lately.
i was thinking about creating some soft stuff simpler than dolis y dolos are,
just to make little accessories and cheaper items,
i went too far simplifying and they are just stuffed little circles,
with hand painted eyes and nose,
with little ears or huge mustaches sometimes,
but they haven’t got any mouth, i thought they didn’t need it!

they were supposed to be sweets or cookies at the beginning,
but Gabriel was always saying that they were ghosts,
so I ended up accepting this new roll finally
as it seem more funny and cute to me.

i’ve done only a few,
5 necklaces and 10 brooches,
i hope they’ll be on my shop next Sunday!
i’ll be making some more little ghosts each month
if you like them and they got sold out.
hope they’ll make a sweeter day to all of you :)

The friendly ghost necklaces

ayer estuve fotografiando los collares
que he hecho con los fantasmitas,
tenía muchísimas ganas de empezar a enseñaros
todo lo que he estado haciendo este verano!
aunque la sesión de fotos de ayer fue de locos...
me siento, me levanto, preparo la cámara,
me pongo bien la blusa, le doy al disparador automático...
esto del DIY es muy duro!!
hoy toca hacer más fotos, pero en plan bodegón,
mañana os enseñaré qué tal han quedado,
y os enseñaré los broches.
bueno, espero que paseis un feliz día :)

i was dying to show you all the new stuff
that i've been doing this summer!
yesterday shooting was a little crazy,
i sit down, got up, prepare the camera,
get myself ready, click on the auto shoot...
DIY is really hard doing!
today there will be still life shootings,
i'll show some pics,
there'll be some new brooches too.
